V3.0 Release Notes: Toro AI Assistant
about 2 months ago by Bipsync
This release delivers targeted improvements to both user experience and search intelligence. Key usability enhancements include a new "Stop generating" control, persistent feedback options, and the ability to process messages in the background without keeping the window open. Functionally, the update expands search scope to read data inside files attached to Notes and refines logic for date-related queries and conversational phrases. Additionally, the system now offers better context retention for follow-up questions and improved formatting preservation when copying citations.
User Interface & Experience Enhancements
- Persistent Feedback Options: To make providing feedback easier, the thumbs up/down buttons on responses are now always visible, rather than only appearing when you hover over a message.
- "Stop Generating" Control: We have added a "Stop generating" button, giving you the ability to cancel a response immediately after sending a prompt if you change your mind or notice an error.
- Improved Copy/Paste Formatting: When copying AI responses, the formatting for references and citations is now preserved more accurately when pasted into other documents.
- Background Processing: You no longer need to keep the Toro window open to finish a request; message processing now continues in the background.
Search Intelligence & Accuracy
- Enhanced Date & Time Logic: We have refined how the system processes date-related queries. This ensures better adherence to specific timeframes you request and more effective filtering based on dates.
- Improved Natural Language Understanding: The search logic has been updated to better handle conversational phrases (such as "working on" or "research"), preventing these common terms from interfering with your search results.
- Better Context Retention: We have optimized how the system handles follow-up prompts, ensuring it maintains the context of your previous questions for a more fluid and logical conversation.
